Vaughn's Chapel Missionary Baptist Church has served families in Elm City and Wilson County for generations. The church remains committed to worship, biblical teaching, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, and community service.
A Legacy Built for the Gospel
A June 6, 1947 deed documents property conveyed in Wilson County to trustees of Vaughn Chapel Missionary Baptist Church for maintaining a church house and for the preaching of the Gospel.
The named trustees included Mac Williams, Turner Batts, Turner Hines, Paul Pitt, Ned Hussey, George H. Powell, and Richard Baines.
